Bring your class to our world-class Nature Center. Explore nature, encounter live animals in the Dalton Discovery Center, take an electric boat ride on the Gordon River, and engage in STEM-based activities in the Ferguson Learning Lab.
STEM Field Trips
We offer three different field trip experiences that provide age-appropriate activities and are aligned to the Next Generation Sunshine State Standards.
The Conservancy Nature Center can accommodate up to three classes per day for field trips; this includes up to 22 people, including chaperones. Each field trip lasts up to three hours and includes a lunch break at our outdoor picnic area within your three hour rotation schedule.

Grades 9 - 12
Become a part of the Conservancy science team and search for the invasive Burmese python! Head out to collect field data to evaluate local populations, then put your STEM skills to the test as you develop and test your own research questions to predict the impact these individuals have on our ecosystems. Finally, work as a team to formulate a plan using your findings to manage these pervasive pythons!!
